About Natalie MacLachlan

A lifelong Idahoan, Natalie was born and raised in Boise. Her immediate family lives, works, owns businesses, and recreates in Idaho. Natalie owns a home in Boise with her dog Laney, a flock of hens and a large garden.

She is a professional educator currently teaching Theatre and Visual Arts in the West Ada School District. Her professional experience also includes Artistic Director of the Theatre Majors Association, performing and teaching at the Treasure Valley Children’s Theatre, and working in production at the Idaho Shakespeare Festival.

Natalie is engaged in a wide variety of community organizing and outreach through her work at Lake Hazel Middle School, particularly focused on supporting students and families in performing arts, communication, tutoring, study hall, sports, and civics.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Theater Arts from Boise State University and a Master’s degree in Education, Curriculum and Instruction.

Natalie volunteers through her church’s community garden to provide fresh produce to the local food bank. She has helped build houses with Habitat for Humanity, worked as a host for the National Leadership Institute Conference, volunteered for Boise’s Annual Multi-Faith Services, and is a member of the Association of American University Women. She is passionate about people and her community, and is fully committed to the work of honestly representing Idahoans.
